Seaweed Salad Recipe with Cucumber Vinaigrette

Simple, refreshing and tasty— this is the perfect summer salad that incorporates ancient Japanese flavors with modern simplicity.


½ cucumber
1 oz. dried wakame seaweed
¼ tsp. white roasted sesame seeds


Salad Dressing Mix
3 Tbsp. Mizkan Natural Rice Vinegar
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. sugar


  1. Cut cucumber crosswise into very thin slices.
  2. Rehydrate dried wakame seaweed in a bowl of water and when the wakame seaweed becomes tender, cut into bite size pieces.
  3. Mix together all the ingredients for the salad dressing. Whisk together until sugar has dissolved.
  4. Arrange the seaweed and cucumber slices in a small bowl. Pour salad dressing over the salad and serve.
