Japanese Style Steak Recipe

For a special night in, try these delicious Japanese Style Beef Steaks. Marinated with traditional Japanese seasonings, these rich steaks it will take you on a journey across the globe.

Ingredients

4 pieces beef, steak cuts
½ cup roasted sesame seeds, partially ground
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
2 Tbsp. onion, grated
2 Tbsp. Mizkan Mirin
1 Tbsp. Mizkan Natural Rice Vinegar
1 Tbsp. rice wine
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Black pepper, coarsely ground, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all seasonings (Mizkan Mirin, Mizkan Natural Rice Vinegar, and soy sauce) in a microwavable bowl, cover and microwave 1 to 2 minutes to make steak sauce.
  2. Sprinkle coarsely ground black pepper and ground sesame seeds on both sides of steaks and press firmly onto the meat.
  3. Heat frying pan, coating the pan with cooking oil evenly. Arrange the steaks around the frying pan and brown both sides of steaks until the meat is cooked to the desired doneness. Approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Cut each steak into several slices for ease of eating and arrange the steak on a plate with the steak sauce. Garnish as desired.
